(The USTA rating is only used to see how accurate it is, and to help rate those that don't have one)
We want several people to help manage the ladder, put it into a web site, put all match results in the web site, and decide on the guiding principles, rules, and mechanics of the ladder.
Suggested guiding principles:
1. Position on the ladder will be proportional to your demonstrated tennis ability.
2. All levels of players are welcome and needed on the ladder.
2. The ladder will help to verify the accuracy of the USTA Rating system.
3. The Rules Committee will determine if mechanisms are needed to encourage people to accept challenges.
4. We may need rules to avoid requiring very good players accept challenges from weaker players. We don’t want very good players dropping off the ladder to avoid mis-matches
